Week 8 Recap

AND THEN THERE WERE NONE!  Week 8 was the week when there were no more undefeated teams as Uptown Elite defeated the lone undefeated team in the league, The Fam.    The two best games of the week were Team Ariyuan vs.  Uptown Elite, and Drama vs The Roc Boys.   Drama vs  Roc Boys was an over time thriller as it looked like Drama was going to cruise to a victory, but in the last few minutes The Roc Boys lead a furious come back and with only a few seconds to go Marky Mark hit a game tying three to carry it to over time where The Roc Boys defeated Drama and knocked them out of a tie with Uptown Elite for a share of the regular season title.  Uptown Elite was impressive in two of their three wins as they defeated Team Ariyuan and  Oohs & Ahhs Soul Food to go to a 7-1 record and become the top seeded team in the league.

As week 9 starts the biggest game of the week will be on Thursday as Hoops In The Sun, from Orchard Beach New York comes to DC for the rubber match for bragging rights.  The game will take place at the BF Coliseum at Barry Farms @ 7pm.  Get there early as seats will fill up fast.   The Goodman All Stars will be looking to avenge a loss they took in New York at HTS place.  As the month of July comes to a close the playoff push is going to begin and teams will be vying for a better playoff spot.  Stay tuned as the next two weeks teams will be trying to get better playoff position and thus have an easier road to the chip.  This means the games will be a little more intense and players will be focused.  Every loss and win effects a teams standing and seeding for the playoffs.  Please answer our poll question and read the following announcement!
